ZONEHIB™ HEC is a cutting-edge natural polymer material derived from cellulose. Initially, it reacts with sodium hydroxide to form a basic cellulose colloid. Subsequently, ethylene oxide and other chemicals are introduced to the reaction, leading to etherification. By meticulously controlling production parameters, the superior Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is synthesized.

This product manifests as a white or light yellow powder. It is non-toxic, tasteless, and rapidly dissolves in both hot and cold water, while remaining insoluble in common organic solvents. With remarkable properties in thickening, dispersing, emulsifying, adhesion, stabilizing, water retention, and film forming, it also serves as an excellent protective colloid in various applications.
