ZONEHIB™ HEC is derived from natural polymer cellulose, which undergoes a reaction with sodium hydroxide to create a base cellulose colloid. Subsequently, ethylene oxide and other chemicals are introduced to facilitate the etherification process. etherificationBy meticulously controlling production parameters, we produce high-quality Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC).

It appears as a white or light yellow powder, non-toxic and tasteless, dissolving swiftly in both hot and cold water. ZONEHIB™ HEC is insoluble in most organic solvents and boasts excellent properties such as thickening, dispersing, emulsifying, adhesion, stabilizing, water retention, and film forming. Additionally, it functions as a protective colloid in various applications.
